- .75 oz dry vermouth
- .75 oz sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
- 4.5 oz. rye or bourbon whiskey
- cocktail glasses

Fill a pitcher with ice and add the
ingredients, minus the lemon. Shake vigorously until the outside of
the shaker is thoroughly beaded with sweat and is extremely cold to
the touch. Strain the drink into cocktail glasses, twist the lemon
over the drink, and drop it in. Serve
immediately. |
