  Who knows where this Prohibition-era cocktail got it's name? The herbs from the benedictine, the orange from the cointreau, and kick from the brandy give this drink may layers of flavor that will linger on the palate.  
Makes two 3 oz drinks

  • 1 oz benedictine

  • 1 oz cointreau

  • 2 orange twists

  • 2 oz brandy

  • 2 oz lemon juice

  • cocktail glasses

Fill a shaker with ice and all but garnish. Shake and strain into cocktail glasses. Garnish each with orange twists and serve.
